Overview
TTClassify is built for the world of international trade compliance. Our platform aligns with the standards and frameworks that govern customs classification globally, helping your organization maintain accuracy, auditability, and regulatory readiness at every step.
Harmonized System Standards
Our classification engine is built on the World Customs Organization (WCO) Harmonized System, the internationally recognized standard for classifying traded goods. TTClassify supports:
- All 97 chapters and 5,000+ headings of the HS nomenclature
- Country-specific tariff schedules (HTS, CN/TARIC, UK Tariff, and 150+ others)
- Regular updates aligned with WCO amendment cycles
- Historical ruling databases from major customs authorities (CBP, EU, UK HMRC)
Regulatory Framework
TTClassify helps organizations comply with key trade regulations including:
US Customs (CBP)
HTS classification aligned with US Customs and Border Protection requirements and binding rulings.
EU Customs (TARIC)
Combined Nomenclature and TARIC code support for EU import/export compliance.
UK Trade Tariff
Post-Brexit UK tariff schedule with commodity code lookups and duty calculations.
Free Trade Agreements
Rules of origin and preferential tariff identification across major FTAs.
Audit Trail & Documentation
Every classification in TTClassify generates a complete audit trail, providing the documentation your compliance team needs:
- Timestamped classification decisions with full reasoning chain
- Supporting customs rulings referenced for each classification
- User attribution — who classified what and when
- Version history tracking all changes to classification records
- Export-ready compliance reports in PDF, CSV, and JSON formats
Reasonable Care Standard
US importers are required to exercise "reasonable care" in classifying goods under 19 USC § 1484. TTClassify supports this obligation by providing documented classification rationale, supporting ruling references, and a complete audit trail — giving your customs team the evidence needed to demonstrate reasonable care to CBP.
Data Handling & Residency
- Data processing in US and EU regions with customer-selected data residency
- No classification data shared with third parties
- Customer data logically isolated with strict access controls
- Data retention policies aligned with customs record-keeping requirements (minimum 5 years)
- GDPR and CCPA compliant data handling (see our Privacy Policy)
